Some
examples of the type of Itinerary
that we offer for a day
|
|
A
great variety of activities can be included in any of our camps,
the number of these and relevant daily programs would be decided
by our joint collaboration.
Before
breakfast maybe a bakery visit, then perhaps a
guided tour of the town buildings or a visit to
the ESA Space Museum or attend an Aboriginal art
class with resident artist Sheila Humphries or
inspect artefacts.
After
morning tea we could visit the old Flour Mill and
Olive Press or participate in Aboriginal music,
dance, language and face-painting. Then perhaps we could attend
mid-day prayers with the monks.
|
After lunch,
in a team - plan, select materials, assign roles and build a mia-mia
or visit the Machinery Shed or
join in boomerang or spear throwing or traditional
Aboriginal tool making.
After afternoon
tea maybe a sporting activity or old
fashioned games with Lester and Rebecca, our Aboriginal leaders
or a walk to the river and visit the Apiary and
the old Piggery - followed by some free time.
After
dinner perhaps an insight into the life of a
monk or some self esteem activities to be run
by our staff or various games or
maybe a quiz night! Supper and showers would
end an enjoyable day, before students retire for a well earned
rest.
