Old Convent

The Old Convent is a courtyard residence tucked away in a secluded part of the New Norcia township. Originally the home of Spanish Benedictine Sisters, this heritage listed building is full of atmosphere and character stretching back over 100 years.
Rooms
The Old Convent has simple but cosy accommodation for a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 30 people, with a variety of single, twin, triplet and quad bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities. It is fully self-contained with a kitchen, dining room and large character lounge with an open fireplace.
Residential guests enjoy complimentary access to a range of work and performance spaces. These allow groups to break up into smaller groups as they deliver their own programmes or work with New Norcia presenters. As well, additional small halls are available in St Joseph’s Hall, the Work Centre and the Seminar Room.
Groups also have access to the town’s recreational facilities which include a swimming pool in the summer months, tennis and basketball courts and ovals for football and hockey.
Meals
Guests can choose to self-cater, have meals at the New Norcia Hotel or Roadhouse or enjoy a fully catered service. Freshly baked New Norcia Bread is delivered daily to the Museum and Art Gallery. The WA Caterers will deliver meals to the Old Convent (for a small extra fee), or your group can dine in a private dining room at St Ildephonsus’ College.
