We at New Norcia are working collaboratively with the Archdiocesan Safeguarding Office to ensure New Norcia provides a safe environment for children and all the vulnerable who pass our way.

The program aims to support families and help children thrive. The Safeguarding Officers and the Catholic community as a whole, are committed to providing an environment free from harm. By building stronger communities, we can create safer environments for children.

Recent developments at new Norcia include the appointment of two safeguarding officers Jody Burness (Manager Group Accommodation and Education) and Melissa Victoriano (Parishioner and Staff Member of New Norcia Museum & Art Gallery) and the establishment of a Safeguarding Committee, chaired by the Coordinator Abbot John.
